Ginking appoints Swiss Agency

Litmus Wines, producers of Ginking, have appointed Bataillard AG of Switzerland as their sole importers to Switzerland.

Ginking is a lower in alcohol effervescent spirits based drink consisting of white wine grown in England, London Dry Gin and mineral water.

Bataillard is the largest wholesaler and third largest importer of alcoholic drinks in Switzerland, Martin Luther, wine importer at Bataillard says, “As soon as we saw Ginking we fell in love with the concept and the packaging and when we got a sample to taste we were not disappointed! We feel that in terms of marketing, selling and building of this brand in Switzerland that we will be the perfect partner and are looking forward to taking in our first shipment”.

Litmus Wines MD and Ginking creator, John Worontschak, says, “One night after work my wife couldn’t decide if she wanted a Gin and Tonic or an English sparkling wine and wondered out loud what a combination of the two would taste like and Ginking was born! Sparkling Wine, Gin and lower alcohol are all three growth categories and here it all is in one bottle! It’s still hard to believe that It now exists commercially and we are over the moon that it will soon be on the shelves in Switzerland”.

Packaged in a traditional sparkling wine bottle with cork and wire the label plays on the feel of the English Imperial past. Ginking retails between £13 – £15 in the UK and is available at Fortnum & Mason, Vinoteca and Fenwick.
